Brane Theory

So there's this really cool new theory about the nature of the Universe that involves it being multi-dimensional.. (yay) ... I was watching a doco on the way our universe came into being. They're now sure that there's several (about 13 at last count) alternate dimensions and these are like membranes in space and they bump into each other and create new universes. I don't fully understand it yet, but it sounds way, way cool. Check out www.space.com for more info. Wild stuff.
